You Are Feeling Sleepy… 0

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Look into my eyes… into my eyes… not around my eyes… into my eyes… you’re under.

Aah, the mysterious art of hypnotism. Anyone who has seen Derren Brown strut his stuff is normally either mesmorised or just completely plain cynical. Is it really possible to influence somebody’s actions through the words you slip into the conversation?

According to Conversational Hypnosis it certainly is. And more besides. This exhaustive course reveals some of the darkest and covert techniques in persuasion, including the bewildering method of ‘embedding’ commands into seemingly innocent sentences.

By now, you’ll want to find out more, so check out my review. (Did you see what I did there?!)

Gary McKinnon: Dangerous Super Hacker or Harmless Super Geek? 0

Gary McKinnon hacked into ‘top secret’ US computers in 1999. He says he was looking for information on aliens and stuff. The US were not very happy about this. They say he is the most dangerous military hacker of all time and caused thousands of dollars of damage.

Or did he just cause thousands of red faces?

How easy was it for McKinnon to hack into those computers? Embarrassingly easy. Is this the real reason why they want to make an example of him? Haven’t they got better things to do with their money than bang up a geek for 60 years?

And what is the British government up to?

Gary McKinnon is now going to the European Court of Human Rights on the grounds that the US abused the extradition process and threatened McKinnon, and that the US might try him in a military rather than civilian court.

Gary McKinnon is facing extradition to the USA under the controversial Extradition Act 2003, without any prima facie evidence or charges brought against him in a UK court. Try him here in the UK, under UK law.

We at Expert Found have decided that Gary McKinnon is an expert super uber-geek of dangerous proportions, but not an evil comic book-style techno-baddie, as the Americans seem to be labelling him.

How To Learn Spanish 0

Learning another language is one of the most exciting and rewarding things you can do. It also places you at a significant advantage in the workplace. If you are fluent enough, providing translation services is a great way of making brilliant money working only a few hours a week.

So what is the best way to learn Spanish - one of the most popular languages? There are numerous books, CDs, and DVDs available, many of which are excellent. My personal choice is Rocket Spanish. It is not the cheapest product on the market, but it is fantastic value for money - packed full of useful stuff, and presented in a brilliantly simple way. It’s earned our coverted Expert Alert award. Read my review of Rocket Spanish here, or go straight to the Rocket Spanish website to see for yourself and download a free spanish course!

PS: For a cheap and cheerful alternative, Synergy Spanish is a good buy.

Synergy Spanish Review 0

There’s a new speaking Spanish program on the block and it’s causing quite a stir. “Why?” I hear you ask. Well it claims… wait for it… to teach you how to speak Spanish in just 138 words!

Well, it promises to teach you how to “get by” - but still a pretty amazing claim. Can it be true?

Marcus Santamaria was teaching English to Spanish speakers in Mexico, but couldn’t actually speak any Spanish! This is quite common - often students go to Spain or other countries to treach English, but they don’t actually know how to speak the native tongue! Too frightening for me!

Anyway, Marcus couldn’t do this any longer and developed a curious system for quickly teaching anyone how to get by speaking Spanish.

It’s quite an amazing little course actually. It’s no substitute for a full teaching program, and for that I recommend Rocket Spanish. you can read my review of Rocket Spanish here. However, for a cheaper and quicker introduction to the Spanish language, you could do a lot worse than Synergy Spanish. Give it a try!
