Corrupt Registry 0

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I can take corrupt business men; I can take corrupt politicians, but if there’s one thing I cannot stomach, it’s a corrupt registry (Oh purleeease! EF Team.)

I’m serious! Have you ever wanted to throw a computer from the top of your building and watch it smash into a little pieces? If you’ve ever had a registry corrupt warning, you’ll know that feeling. I don’t recommend doing that however. I do recommend Registry Fix however, and you can read my registry fix review here.

The Answer To Music Illegal Filesharing 0

Music companies and ISPs are getting forever more hot under the collar about people getting hold of music illegally by sharing it over the Internet and not paying.

This is an infringement of copyright and, to be honest, not an altogether sensible thing to do with your computer unless it is very heavily guarded against viruses and hackers.

While I’m on this note, can someone please explain to the people behind the “Knock Off Nigel” adverts that they simply are not going to work! The idea of these is to make illegal downloaders look ‘uncool’ but the only uncool person is the one who thought that lame idea was ever going to deter the average filesharing nitwit.

Good news is, I’ve found a better way to at least get your music downloads. It’s not free, but it is pretty competitive and doesn’t involve sharing from peer to peer. Mp3 Music is a music download site that allows you to create an account, put some money on it and download on a “pay as you go” basis. It’s got all the latest albums at a price that is most agreeable.

The quality is excellent, although if you download something you really like, they (and I) recommend that you go and buy the CD for the optimum sound quality (and to give the band a bit more money!).

Check it out at Mp3 Music.

Lose Weight? 1 Hour Exercise Per Day Minimum! 0

The Los Angeles Times website posted this article about a study which shows you need to exercise for an hour a day to lose weight!

That information is enough to make most people break into a sweat, let alone exercise every day for an hour!

But no need to panic, people. Yes, an hour every day will certainly help you lose weight, along with a sensible personalised diet plan. But it doesn’t need to be a chore. In fact, you can easily notch up an hour a day, by doing simple things as you go about your daily routine.

One fantastic little gizmo to help out with this is the exercise watch. It monitors your heart rate and you can set it to beep when you’re getting a little lazy during the day! It’s proving popular with the celebs at the moment, including Britney Spears who’s using it to get back in shape.

Can You Really Make Money From Home By Blogging? 0

We live in hard times and they’re going to get even harder they say. Boy, it’s depressing! So what can you do about it? If you still want to put petrol in your car, heat your home, and buy your favorite donuts, you need to increase your income, because those things ain’t getting cheaper any time soon.

One of the answers is to make money online. Easy as that, yes? Well, not really! You see, the problem is not with getting a website up and running. Believe it or not, even the most unsavvy anti-geek can do this quickly and cheaply. How to monetize the site, then - that’s the challenge? Well again, no. Sites are easily monetized in a basic way by showing advertising or recommending products on commission. So why isn’t everyone at it then?

The challenge lies in getting internet traffic to your site. Without that, you might as well have a really nice shop on the moon. No-one will pop in even out of curiousity.

Make no mistake, getting visitors to a website is no mean feat, and if you don’t have the right guidance, then be prepared to do a lot of searching, trial and error. Alternatively, you could try new product Blogging To The Bank, which shows you how to identify niche areas to build websites around, monetize them, and - most importantly - drive traffic to them. I’ve reviewed it and given it the Expert Alert thumbs up.

I’ve not been going long but if I’m lucky, my internet income might even cover my next gas bill, and that’s saying something! Give it a try and boost your income - maybe by a little, maybe by a lot.

Countdown To The End Of Countdown? 0

Legendary UK show Countdown may be ticking down to it’s own end. After the unfortunate death of Richard Whitely, the show has continued but now Carol Vorderman seems to be making an acrimonious exit.

Carol has been with the show since it’s first screening.

What on earth will all the students do? Won’t somebody think of the students?!

Make Money From Home Doing Paid Surveys 0

What’s it like to work in your pyjamas, telling people what you think, and earn big bucks whilst doing it? Well, all you’ve got to do is ask one of the thousands of people who earn either an additional income or a full-time income by completing surveys online.

As more and more people want to get into the home based business arena, signing up to paid survey services is becoming every more popular. Companies need feedback on their products and services so that they remain competitive. Can you be the one to guide them?

I have reviewed one very popular package for people wanting to start earning money this way: click here for my review of Paid Surveys Etc. I can also recommend Surveys 4 Checks - I’m getting great feedback from people on this service also. If you are interested, check out their websites and see if pyjama-wearing opinionated web surfing is your cup of tea!

The Best Computer In The World 0

A keyboard where the keys are beautifully shaped to fit your fingertips. Or perhaps dinky rubbery affairs for that essential “non-slip” texture. The blissful screech of the tape loading, and the endless swearing when you had to rewind and try again. Ahhh, those were the days.

I am of course referring to the legendary Sinclair Spectrum: arguably the best computer ever in the world. It may not have had the blistering graphics capabilities of today’s machines, or the masses of memory space for programmers to fool around with, but by jimminy it had charm. And who needs more than 48k of RAM anyway? Pah!

Anyway, when I get all nostalgic like this, I often like to frequent a website dedicated to the Best Computer Magazine In The World: Your Sinclair. What a marvelous publication that was. It went on to spawn ZERO magazine for the 16 bits (I was an Atari ST man myself), and then Game Zone.

The website I’m referring to is Your Sinclair The Rock ‘N’ Roll Years. Check it out. Now excuse me while I stick on Hold My Hand Very Tightly…

Business Nowadays Ethics 0

Doing business ethically is considered by some to be a luxury. We often see stories of large corporations exploiting cheap child labour in third world countries to produce their big brand labels.

Does it have to be this way? Can you succeed in business without compromising your principles? How do you do it? There is a popular article on the essentials of business ethics on this site. Another great resource is Business Ethics by William H. Shaw available through Amazon.

Paid Surveys Etc 0

I can remember getting $10 once to complete a survey - it took me about 3 hours to do it! Not a great money spinner that one. Anyway, the lure of being able to get paid for your opinion is a great one - as long as there are companies out there that offer good deals for your valuable time and opinions.

Paid Surveys Etc is one of the finer ones. Earn great money by testing out ideas and helping make products and services better. I’ve given Paid Surveys Etc an Expert Alert award - read the review here. Or go to their website to find out more.
